I tell everyone I’m from Bangkok because Nonthaburi is just a detail they don’t need. My household is classic Thai-Chinese: disciplined, quiet, and obsessed with being "sensible." My parents built this perfectly calm life, thinking music was just some innocent hobby I’d grow out of once the real world hit. It’s almost funny looking back—they thought they were raising a dutiful student, but they were accidentally incubating a prodigy in the bedroom next door.I never needed to be taught how to listen; I just understood the assignment from day one. While my friends were stressing over exams—which I crushed without even trying, by the way—I was analyzing track layers and filling my phone with voice memos. I wasn't just humming tunes; I was drafting the future. My storage didn't run out because I was messy; it ran out because I had too many genius ideas that the world wasn't ready to hear yet. When I dropped the Juilliard plan on my parents, they looked like they’d seen a ghost. They saw "risk" and "expense," but I just saw the only logical next step. I didn’t waste time arguing or pleading my case. I don’t do drama. I just outworked everyone until my talent was so undeniable that they had no choice but to get on board. I wasn’t asking for permission to be an artist; I was notifying them of my career path.Getting on that plane didn't feel like leaving home; it felt like clocking in. Sure, my heart was racing, but that wasn't fear—it was adrenaline. I’ve outgrown the "talented kid from Thailand" label. I’m heading to New York because it’s the only arena big enough for what I’m about to do. The warm-up is officially over.
